About Blossom Spectrum Wellness

Autism isn't witchcraft ..

Blossom Spectrum Wellness (U) Ltd was founded out of love, resilience, and a shared mission: to create a world where individuals with autism are not just accepted but celebrated. As mothers of children on the spectrum, we faced the uncertainties, the overwhelming questions, and the search for the right support systems. About the Founders

Dr. prossy Nakanwagi

I am Prossy Nakanwagi, a medical doctor and a proud mother of three wonderful children, one of whom is my inspiring firstborn son, Matthew, who is on the autism spectrum. Over a decade ago, Matthew’s diagnosis reshaped my family’s life in ways we never anticipated. Faced with the raw reality of stigma, discrimination, and a lack of resources, I found myself navigating an uncharted territory that not even my medical training could fully prepare me for.

As I delved into the world of Autism, I encountered a wealth of challenges, but also an incredible journey of discovery and resilience. My commitment to finding effective treatments for Matthew drove me to explore a myriad of interventions, from off-label medications and nutritional supplements to various therapeutic approaches including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, aqua therapy, pet therapy, and more. I experimented with music, horse riding, karate, and various creative outlets, always seeking the path that could unlock Matthew’s potential. While some methods were incredibly effective, others fell short; every experience shaped my understanding of what our children need.

Through perseverance, we discovered Matthew’s flourishing inborn talents in art, music, and technology. This journey taught me that effective interventions, family support, and a relentless spirit can collectively tap into the hidden abilities of a child with Autism. It became clear that knowledge is power, and it prompted me to take action.

Recognizing the significant gaps in information and support for families like mine, I founded the Advancing Autism Family Support Organization. Through this non-profit initiative, we provide crucial psychosocial support to parents, fostering a community where experiences can be shared and resources accessed. My professional background in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Neglected Tropical Diseases underscored the importance of holistic care and led me to pivot towards an area that strikes closer to my heart.

In 2024, together with a dear friend, we established Blossom Spectrum Wellness Ltd. Our mission is to address the questions and challenges that come with raising children on the Autism spectrum. At Blossom Spectrum Wellness, we are committed to providing tailored resources, support, and programs that focus on unlocking the potential of every child and we family we serve.

Cynthia Lucille Kabagambe

With a deeply personal connection to autism through my teenage autistic son, my journey into the world of learning disabilities and holistic wellness has been both professional and personal. For over seven years, I worked with adults with learning disabilities at CareUK, where I gained firsthand experience in providing support, fostering independence, and advocating for inclusive care. This experience laid the foundation for my passion in the field.

My commitment to supporting neurodivergent individuals extended to my volunteer work at Open Friends, where I dedicated time to empowering individuals with disabilities. Over the past year, I have stepped into a leadership role as a manager at Open Friends, driving initiatives that create meaningful impact.

Academically, I hold a B.A. in Communication Skills and Literature which strengthens my ability to engage, educate, and advocate effectively. Additionally, my City & Guilds Level 2 certification in Introduction to Learning Disabilities equips me with the knowledge to create informed, inclusive support strategies—skills that directly benefit both my work and leadership roles.

Currently, I am expanding my expertise as a student at the Style Coach Institute London, where I am exploring the connection between personal well-being, confidence, and self-expression. This training enhances my work at Blossom Spectrum Wellness Limited, allowing me to integrate self-care, wellness, and holistic support into autism advocacy.

Recognizing the profound link between gut health and neurodivergence, I am also pursuing a diploma in gut health. Research increasingly highlights the gut-brain connection and its impact on autism, mental well-being, and overall health. By incorporating this knowledge into my work, I aim to provide families and individuals with nutrition-based strategies that support emotional regulation, digestion, and cognitive function empowering them to thrive through a truly holistic approach.

Through Blossom Spectrum Wellness, I am committed to developing innovative wellness solutions that support autistic individuals, caregivers, and the wider community—creating a future where every person, regardless of their neurodivergence, can blossom to their full potential.

Together, we can create a more understanding, accepting world for all.
